The paper presents a distributed control architecture for a laboratory-validated multirobot painting system. It combines Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 PLC sequencing and safety interlocks with MATLAB/Simulink supervisory control, OPC UA communication, two RoArm-M2-S manipulators, and a KUKA KR10 industrial robot.
